The Gamepro Bubo XL takes the basic Bubo design and gives it a bigger 140 mm reflector and a 15 W Cree LED, which roughly doubles the reach to around 620 metres at 1,040 lumens. The 3.7 V 3.6 Ah lithium battery runs for about 2.5 hours and charges from either the mains adapter or the 12 V vehicle charger, both included.
Practical use
This is the size most people want for walking a fence line, checking a kraal or lighting up the far side of a dam. The 12 V charger means it can top up in the bakkie between uses. The red filter reduces glare and is less disturbing to animals when spotting at night.
