The NEBO Galileo 1000 Flex is the dual-power version of the Galileo 1000 lantern. It produces up to 1,000 lumens in all directions, dims smoothly, offers a 120-degree mode for lighting one side only, and includes red modes for night vision. The rechargeable 18650 cell also powers a USB output for charging small devices, and when that runs flat you can fit D-cell batteries.
Practical use
Full power lights a large tent or a braai area; the 300-lumen 120-degree mode runs for about six hours and keeps the light off people’s faces; the fully dimmed setting lasts over ten hours through the night. On a long trip or a multi-day outage, the D-cell backup means the lantern keeps working after the rechargeable pack is empty.
